Since going pro, Anthony Joshua has become a formidable force in boxing. In those five years, the British-Nigerian has been in 22 fights, but the most striking of them all was the one in which he contested for the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles against Alexander Povetkin.

The fight ended in the seventh round, making Joshua the unified world heavyweight champion – just one belt away from becoming the undisputed world heavyweight champion. Given how it’s his defining fight, the boxer’s team has made a documentary short about it.

Called ‘The Life Is Chose And I Live For It’, the 15-minute-long short covers the days leading up to the fight and gives insight on the mental and physical drills Joshua had to go through in preparation for the big day.

For example, he reveals that he woke up not feeling up to the challenge on the night of the fight – which explains why Povetkin dominated the first few rounds of the fight. The documentary short also gives us a rare peek into Joshua’s relationship with the people on his team.
