Olusegun Bamgbose, Esq., National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance, CAGG, has reacted to the release of the 28 abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna State.

Bamgbose and his organisation, CAGG had vowed to ensure the release of all the students abducted from different schools in the North West.

The senior lawyer and 2023 presidential hopeful had declared that the students will regain their freedom before the end of July 2021.

And following the release of the Bethel Baptist Church students, Bamgbose has further assured other parents that their abducted students will be released by the abductors.

“I am, however, very optimistic that others yet to be released will soon regain their freedom. There is no cause for alarm,” the senior lawyer said in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Monday.

“I sympathize with the parents of the abducted children who are yet to see their children. It is no doubt a traumatic experience as I watch the parents eager to embrace their released children.

“We want to appreciate all those who have made this possible. We are indeed in a precarious situation and it takes courage to deal with it.

“We shall keep pushing until all the 348 abducted students are released. We shall ensure that none of them is left behind in the den of the abductors.

“These students are our hope for a better tomorrow, we won’t allow the abductors to discourage or waste them. I will expect the prayer and fasting to hold today as scheduled earlier.

“All hands must be on deck to ensure that the remaining abducted students are released as soon as possible. Education is key to the development of any nation.

“I want to urge the released students and their parents not to be discouraged, the students must continue their education despite the challenges they are facing.

“We can’t conquer without courage. We would urge the Federal Government to be more proactive in ensuring that our students are safe.

“We must resist all attempts by the bandits to discourage our children from schooling. Measures should be taken to make the environment secure for learning,” he said.

The CAGG had also written the President of the United States, asking him to intervene in the rescue of the innocent students.
