Following the news regarding Baba Ijesha’s bail restrictions, actor and human rights campaigner Yomi Fabiyi has broken his silence.

Yomi was one of the few people who stood by Baba Ijesha after he was arrested and incarcerated, as we remembered.

Baba Ijesha, according to Yomi, should be released on bail pending a fair trial.

Baba Ijesha’s lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana, had previously revealed that the comic actor had been granted bail due to his deteriorating health. He went on to say that the bail hadn’t been paid since the requirements hadn’t been met.

The counsel seeking Baba Ijesha’s release has identified two dependable sureties, one of whom must be a level 10 official and a direct blood relative, as well as a N500,000 bail bond in the same amount.

Yomi responded on Instagram by writing:

Abuja loun pe bi, Abuja loun pe bi, Abuja loun pe bi, Abuja It is critical to protect human rights. If suspects’ and complainants’ human rights are abused, there can never be genuine JUSTICE. Fair Hearing and strict adherence to the RULE OF LAW are only a few of the rights that people have. More emphasis on human rights will lead to Nigeria’s development and peace.”
