Heracles Almelo have bid Cyriel Dessers goodbye following the Nigerian forward move to Belgian Pro League club Genk, reports Completesports.com.
Dessers penned a four-year contract with Genk on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old spent just one season at the club following his arrival from FC Utrecht last summer.

“Cyriel has been the absolute eye-catcher this season and has been a very important value for the team. We believe that based on his game, his goals, his assists and most importantly, his personality, Cyriel deserved to take the next step in his career,” technical director, Tim Gilissen told the club’s official website.
According to Gilissen, the transfer from Desserswebsite indicates that Heracles Almelo is walking the right roads. Gilissen:
“Eighth place, the transfer from Lennart Czyborra to top club Atalanta Bergamo and now also this beautiful top transfer from Cyriel give us once again confirmation that the vision we are pursuing is paying off.”
Together with Feyenoord’-# Steven Berghuis, Dessers finished with 15 goals from 26 league games when the competition was interrupted abruptly in March due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
