The corporate headquarters of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in Port Harcourt, Rivers state has been shut down temporarily following a COVID-19 scare.
The coronavirus scare was triggered after a member of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of NDDC, Mr. Ibanga Etang died in the early hours of today Thursday May 28 at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), Port Harcourt after a brief illness suspected to be COVID19.
An internal memo signed and released for the management by one Silas Anyanwu, directed all employees to vacate the headquarters as it would be shut down for two weeks with immediate effect.
“Consequently, all activities of the commission including ongoing matters are hereby shut down” the memo read
