
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom on Monday visited Mrs Wanhena Cheku whose hand was amputated at Gboogyo village, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
Ortom, alongside his wife, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom, visited the victim who is receiving treatment for machete cut on her head and hand at the Federal Medical Centre Makurdi.
Recall that suspected herdsmen last week attacked Mrs. Grace Cheku and amputated her hand.
It was gathered that Mrs. Cheku, was working on her farm when the herdsmen attacked her.
Narrating her ordeal, she said the herdsmen asked her to place her hand on a log of wood before cutting it off.
Zeku added that the herdsmen took the amputated hand and ran away.
