The Nigeria Immigration Service in a series of tweet have announced the suspension of the transfer order of the officers who participated in a dance challenge.
In April, a video of the officers participating in the Bop daddy challenge organised by popular musician Folarin Falana also known as Falz went viral and the NIS criticised the act.
The Comptroller General Muhammad Babandede’s attention was drawn to the matter of the suspended officers concerning their deployment.
“It is important to note that staff deployment remains a vital practice of regimented organizations such as ours and should be seen as such. As an agency, we maintain zero tolerance to any matters bordering on offences against discipline among members of our workforce irrespective of gender.” Babandede said.
The Comptroller General said that the case concerning the officers is still under investigation and the earlier posting order of the officers has been put on hold until the investigation is concluded.
The immigration stated that it had high premium for staff development and encourage efforts of the officers as far as it is within the confines of the rules and regulations of the NIS.
