Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 5 new COVID-19 deaths.
This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, as 148 new coronavirus cases were recorded.
The control has so far recorded 98 confirmed deaths with speculations that more persons may have died of the virus than reported.
Recall that there have been rising cases of unexplained deaths in Kano and Jigawa states recently.
In Jigawa, over 100 persons have died in the last 10 days.
Meanwhile, the Kano State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), on Tuesday, said that 34 doctors have tested positive to the novel coronavirus in the state.
Mr Bala explained that many of the victims were the doctors working at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) and other private clinics in the state.
