The Federal Government of Nigeria has released the implementation guidelines to guide Nigerians during this Covid19 pandemic especially as the Regime intends to relax the lockdown from the 4th of May in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States.
These guidelines govern almost every sector of Nigerian industries from Financial institutions, Agricultural sector, motor parks, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries, Academic institutions, Restaurants, supermarkets, clubs and more.
Section 1 gives the general information on the measures citizens are mandated to obey due to the pandemic. They include: the mandatory use of face masks for anyone in public spaces, Mandatory provision of hand wash and sanitizers in public places, prohibition of inter State travelling except essentials travels and services, mass gathering of more than 20 people is prohibited , mandatory temperature checks will be conducted in public places.
Other guidelines include: social distancing of 2 metres must be maintained, retention on the ban of all passenger flights, restrictions on all religious gatherings, mandatory supervision and isolation of persons arriving from outside the country for atleast 14 days.
Anyone spotted in public without a face mask will be prosecuted and asked to return home, institutions that fail to obey these guidelines and the the guidelines on the ban of interstate travels will be prosecuted ..
