The Kwara State Governor, Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has ordered all civil-service Workers in the state to stay at home as a preventive measure against the COVID-19 virus.
According to the Governor all civil servants apart from the Ministry of Health and essential workers, are to work from home beginning on Monday, March 23 until further notice.
The Kwara State Governor who ordered the closure of all public and private nurseries, primary, secondary and state-owned Tertiary institutions also placed a ban on public gatherings of more than 25 people.
Governor Abdulrazaq revealed plans of building additional and well-equipped 12-bed intensive care unit at the General Hospital, Ilorin.
A“COVID-19 Technical Committee” comprising of healthcare professionals and officials whose primary responsibility is to assist the administration in combating COVID-19 in Kwara State has also been constituted.
