LUTH Hospital Demands N1.2 Million From My Uncle For Coronavirus Test – Nigerian Lady Claims

A Nigerian lady identified as Ifenkili Coolfrancess on Twitter has alleged that medical practitioners at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) requested for a sum of N1.2million to get tested for coronavirus.

According to the lady, her uncle went to LUTH to have a coronavirus test and they allegedly asked him to pay N1.2m before he can be tested.

“My dad’s cousin went to luth to get tested for corona virus Nd they told him he had to pay 1.2million naira ..lol..we are not ready,”She wrote.

Someone in the comment section subsequently tagged the Twitter handle of LUTH to respond to the allegation, but they are yet to reply.

Coronavirus disease has claimed over 6,000 lives and affected about 150 countries in three months.

Nigeria recently confirmed the third case of the deadly disease, and the infected is a 30-year-old Nigerian lady who returned from the United Kingdom on Friday.
