Real Madrid may likely be without playmaker, Isco, when they tackle Villarreal in the La Liga fixture on Sunday at El Madridgal Stadium.
The Spain international sustained a muscular injury in his right femoral biceps ahead of the encounter.
A club statement on Wednesday read: “After the tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Isco has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in the right femoral biceps.
“His recovery will continue to be monitored.”
Real Madrid head to the game after playing a 1-1 draw with Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend.
