Yobe LG Caretaker Chair Dies Less Than 24-Hours To Swearing-In

The newly appointed caretaker committee chairman, Karasuwa Local Government Council, Hon Lawan Gana Karasuwa, is dead.

Karasuwa’s death was announced by the Director General, Press and Media Affairs to Yobe State Governor,  Mamman Muhammad, at the flag-off of an empowerment project organised by the state Commissioner of Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation.

According to Muhammad, Gana died at the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru after a brief illness.

Further reports reveal that Gana served as caretaker chairman of Karasuwa LGA for six months before the committee was dissolved by the state Governor Mai Mala Buni.

He was then reappointed as the caretaker committee chairman of Karasuwa LG.

He was among the 17 chairmen local government caretaker management committee to be sworn-in on Friday.
