A former Niger Delta militant, Asari Dokubo has been praised by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo.

This comes after Dokubo organised a rally in support of the inauguration of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.

Keyamo described Dokubo’s rally as a “ground force” from the creeks.

He noted that Dokubo was a longtime brother and friend.

The former militant leader had organised Niger Delta youths to attend the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Monday.

Security operatives stationed to maintain peace and order during tribunal proceedings, however, prevented the supporters from gaining entrance into the court premises.

Addressing reporters during the rally, the former militant leader said nothing can stop Tinubu’s inauguration.

Reacting to the rally via Twitter, Keyamo wrote: “Ground force’ (metaphorically speaking) from the creeks organized by my long-time brother and friend Mujahid Asari-Dokubo in support of the swearing-in of ⁦@officialABAT.”
