Two persons were injured on Thursday after a vehicle conveying inmates to the State High Court, Osogbo, hit a commercial minibus.
The accident caused palpable tension in Osogbo, the Osun State Capital.
Reports say the incident also caused a violent protest as commercial motorcyclists and some angry youths blocked the popular Olaiya Junction in protest.
According to some eyewitnesses, the correctional truck driver refused to obey a traffic light that had signaled him to stop and in the process, hit a minibus, leaving the driver and one of the passengers injured.
