Nigerian actor cum politician, Desmond Elliot has been declared winner of the Surulere Constituency election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC Returning Officer, Dr. O.J Fenuga made the announcement on Sunday.
He said Desmond Elliot of the All Progressives Congress, APC, polled 17,837 votes to defeat Adebayo Bode of the Labour Party, LP, who polled 7,822 votes.
Fenuga said the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Thompson Sulaimon Abolaji, polled 1,045 votes.
Earlier, Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, had congratulated Desmond Elliot for winning the election.
