The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said he will soon tell the people of the state which presidential candidate they should support for the 2023 presidential election.

This is as he said his battle for justice and fairness in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continues.

Governor Wike spoke on Tuesday.

Recall that the Rivers State Governor and his party’s flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar have not been on good terms over the decision of the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu to remain in office.

Wike while commissioning the Rukpoku-Rumuapu-Izo-Ogbodo-Ogwuruta project in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State asked residents to vote for candidates of the party, except the presidential candidate of the party.

He urged the people of Rivers State to wait until he revealed the presidential candidate to support.

Wike while speaking at the event said, “You will vote for the party that has worked for you.

“You know those you will vote for – vote for our Gubernatorial candidate, vote for our House of Representatives, vote for our senatorial candidate, vote for our House of assembly candidates.

“Those we have mentioned now, make sure you vote for them. For the other one (presidential election), we will meet at our houses very soon and decide where we are going.”
