
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka has said it expects students and lecturers to back for academic activities on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
The announcement follows the suspension of the eight-month industrial action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities on Thursday, October 14, 2022.
The PUNCH reported that ASUU embarked on strike on February 14, 2022, and suspended the strike on October 14, 2022, eight months after.
The UNN, in a memo dated October 14, 2022, and signed by its Ag. Registrar, Dr. A.N. Egbosionu, directed all students to return to campus on Saturday, October 22, adding that lectures would continue for the yet-to-be completed 2020/2021 academic session on Monday, October 24.
According to the memo, lectures will run for five days, from Monday, October 22, to Friday, October 29, and revision will follow from Monday, October 31, to Friday, November 4, 2022.
Second semester examinations are to commence from Monday, November 7 to Saturday, November 26, 2022.
The university also stated in the memo that the 2021/2022 academic session will commence on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
