From Romanus Ugwu, Abuja
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, has sort spiritual intervention over the chances of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emerging victorious in next year’s presidential election.
He spoke when he led a delegation of the party’s leadership, the National Working Committee (NWC), on a visit to inspect the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Abuja.
While commending Tinubu for the efforts made and structures erected towards ensuring an effective campaign, he praised his readiness for the task ahead.
“You’re already writing the word success with these laudable efforts. Those who know you expect no less. And it is our hope and prayer that God Almighty crown our efforts with victory in February 2023,” Adamu said.
Speaking earlier, the presidential candidate had commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his loyalty and commitment to the party and its anticipated victory in the February 25, 2023 elections.
He responded to President Buhari’s resolve not to support any other candidates except those sponsored by APC, emphasising that the president deserves commendation for being a true leader and loyal party man.
“I like the statement of Mr. President few days ago. Firm, concise, straight to the point and bold as a leader of our party. We should commend the President for that statement. For his commitment and loyalty to the party. And for being a true party leader,” he noted in a statement signed by Tunde Rahman, Tinubu Media Office.
