Why Did They Beat Him – Reno Omokri Faults Prison Warders For Manhandling Iniubong Umoren’s Murderer After He Attempted Fleeing

Nigerian activist, Reno Omokri has queried prison warders for beating Iniubong Umoren’s killer, Uduak Akpan after he attempted to flee following his sentence.

Uduak Akpan who was sentenced to death by hanging for r*ping and killing the 24-year-old job seeker in Akwa Ibom subsequently pulled a weird stunt when it dawned on him that the end has come.

Reports had it that he attempted escaping but was caught by the prison warders.

A video of Uduak Akpan struggling with the warders went viral online. At a point, the warders repeatedly him on his back before putting him inside the Black Maria.

Reno Omokri while commenting on the video asked why he should be beaten when he was in handcuffs.

The activist expressed resentment over the treatment.

He Wrote:

“Uduak-Abasi Akpan resists being taken to prison after he was sentenced to death over Iniubong Umoren’s murder.

But did they have to beat him? He is in handcuffs. How far can he go? What damage can he do?”
