Consequently, in promoting this value as a global diplomat on peace advocate ambassador I want to commend the acting Governor of Edo State Rt. Hon. Phillip Shaibu for inviting and organising a stakeholders meeting with all the various security apparatus in the State, with a view to protecting human lives; addressing the kidnappings and security challenges facing the State. We must identify with anyone taking interest, as regards to peace, because the recent crime rate in the country calls for sober reflection. The live of everyone is important and the death of any one in any part of the country is a devastating loss to this country. I’m also using this medium to appeal to other State Governors to emulate the gesture of their counterpart in Edo State by extending a collaborative approach with all relevant security apparatus to encourage them , towards supporting the Federal Government and the Buhari led administration in addressing the rising cases of violence and criminality. The security votes budgeted should be used to influence the capacity of the various security agencies,” he writes.
