As the time draws near for Bola Tinubu to declare his intention officially for the 23 presidency, another support group of northerners has started mobilizing support for the APC national leader.

The Disciples of Jagaban, comprising retired generals, old politicians, and a member of the Arewa Consultatie Forum, launched formally in Kaduna on Saturday

Among the notables present at the event were retired General Mohammed Saleh, who later rerpesened Kaduna Central in the Senate, his colleague Hassan Usman, Mr Muhammad Namadi, and Alhaji Dangulguli, Chairman, Kaduna chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum and Alhaji Lawal Meyere.

According to Saleh, power belongs to the people, and that power is in the voters’ cards to elect experienced politicians.

“Running a country like Nigeria is not a child’s play; you must possess requisite exposition to run Nigeria,” he said.

Saleh assured that he is not against a young Nigerian becoming the next president. But he insisted the country at the moment requires an experienced person like Tinubu.

Usman also harped on the current situation in Nigeria to sing Tinubu’s praises.

He said that all hands should be on deck to ensure that persons who have reached the voting age register and vote for a good leader in 2023.

The national coordinator of the group, Abdulhakeem Adegoke, said Tinubu has the capacity to rescue Nigerians from the current suffering.

“We know his capacity to change the scenario; his capacity to change things from negative to positive. He has done it in Lagos State,” he said.
