Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has descended on the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU for rejecting the Federal University of Technology Owerri professorship recently awarded to Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Isa Pantami.

ASUU’s National Executive Council rejected a report submitted by its FUTO’s chapter which endorsed the appointment of Nigeria’s minister of communications and digital economy, Isa Pantami, as a professor of cybersecurity

”There are many unanswered questions on Mr Ibrahim’s professorship,” said ASUU President Victor Sodeke in Abuja on Monday.

FFK via his Instagram page wrote express his disgust for the body’s rejection of Pantami’s professorship

”What has Isa Pantami done to ASUU? When will the hatred stop? Is it because he is Muslim? I know Pantami well and he is eminently qualified to be a Professor,” he said.

“Let us be guided by love and not hate. Lies, disinformation, prejudice, ignorance and religious bigotry has blinded many in our country.”

Fani-Kayode, a former APC basher now an inside, has found a friend in Pantami, who the former minister once called out as Boko Haram and Al Qaeda sympathizer.
