“The state government will inform members of the public of its plans for the funeral arrangements, which will commence on Thursday, October 14 with tributes, vigil mass and service of songs at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City,” he said.

He added that the lying in state would take place at the Sam Ogbemudia Stadium on October 15 at 1:00p.m., to be followed by interment, adding: “There will be social activities and thanksgiving service at Garrick play ground, Ekenwan Road and Holy Cross Catholic Cathedral, Mission Road, Benin City on October 16 and 17.”
