As bandits find it difficult to move about because their fuel supplies have been cut off, animals have thus become their means of transportation as they flee Zamfara.
A report by the Daily Trust revealed that the criminal gangs are regrouping at the Isa forest in Sokoto, and they are migrating there on camels.
No fewer than 20 gangs are there now, the reort said, on the invitation of the most notorious gangleader Turji.
Their attacks and raids have been carried on the camels.
But Commissioner for Carriers and Security Matters, Colonel Garba Moyi (retd), said there was no evidence that bandits were regrouping in the area.
As the military continues its offensive in Zamfara, Sokoto and Katsina have also taken measure to cut all kinds of supplies to the criminals.
