Mixed reactions as fisherman catches venomous fishes

A certain fisherman in Andoni local government area of Rivers state caught certain strange fishes called stingrays.

This news development came a few days after the indigenous people of the local government were awed and surprised after witnessing a live elephant walking amongst them. This recent report has since sparked reactions from many people.

As said in the report, the fish said to be a stingray comes from a family of poisonous and venomous fishes.

However, it was also said that this wasn’t the only time a fisherman has caught this kind of fish in the local government as the famous fishing villages are close to the Atlantic ocean which is densely populated with lots of diverse fishes.



Many who read the recent report condemned the action of the fisherman who caught the fishes saying that they are an endangered species. Many also said that the fishes should have been kept for tourism and not for consumption. Read the comments below.
