Osinbajo is the pride of NIGERIA – PDP governor, Udom Emmanuel

The Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel has hailed Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as the ‘Pride of Nigeria’.

Udom made the statement during the VP’s recent visit to the state. POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Osinbajo was in the state to flag off the construction of a housing estate and commissioned the Dakkada Tower as part of activities marking the 34th Anniversary of the State’s creation.

Governor Emmanuel, who was interposed with shouts of joy by the obviously elated state residents, who had gathered to witness the occasion, even as he extolled the virtues of the Vice President, Prof Osinbajo, who was in their midst, made an inspiring remark on the person of Nigeria’s second citizen.

Governor Emmanuel, as he hosted the Vice President as a special guest in one-day official visit said: “How I wish our special guest was not going today. He would have spent time with us. This women, they want to dance, but we have to let the Vice President go, Your Excellency, the pride of Nigeria.”

“He just whispered to me now that he is from Onna Local Government. So, finally, he has told me the Local Government he comes from, he is from Onna Local Government. Our brother, our teacher, our pastor and our mentor, Prof Yemi Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, SAN,”.
