Photos have surfaced online showing patients including children suffering from cholera undergoing treatment in very poor conditions in and outside hospital facilities in Kaduna.
The photos shared online show the patients lying on the ground and on mats as they were being offered Intravenous fluids hung on trees at the Cholera Outbreak Response Centre in Funtua.
According to the BBC Hausa, the lack of hospital beds forced the health workers to treat the patients in the open air under trees.
