A three-member of justices presided by Justice Stephen Adah yesterday voided the June 9 judgment by Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of the FCT High Court for lack of the territorial jurisdiction to have heard the suit over the leadership of the party in the state.
In two judgments, the appellate court upheld the two appeals filed against the FCT High Court judgment. The appeals marked: CA/A/359/2021 and CA/A/CV/368/2021 were filed by the PDP and Barrister Uchenna Obiorah.
The judgment restored the leadership of Ndubuisi Nwobu as the state chairman of the PDP and Valentine Ozigbo as the governorship candidate in the upcoming of November 18.
Justice Olukayode Adeniyi had ordered the sacking of the Anambra PDP executives in a judgment on a suit marked: HC/CV/774/2021 filed by Samuel Anyakolah, which he brought for himself and all local government chairmen and ward executives that emerged from the Anambra PDP congress conducted on November 28 and December 1, 2017 under the supervision of Sir Chukwudi Umeaba, as Acting Chairman State Caretaker Committee.
