Kaduna residents on Monday mourned the passing of former Deputy Governor of the state, late Bala Bantex.
Workers, market women, bus drivers, shop owners all joined those in the civil service to honour the late Bantex.
Recall that the Kaduna State Governor on Sunday declared Monday work-free day as a mark of respect for late Deputy Governor, Bala Bantex
Although the state government made the pronouncement mainly for workers, businessmen, bus drivers, Market women and others joined the call by the state government
To many residents in the state, mourning is no longer news as they have often been bereaved by the kidnap and killings of their loved ones.
Following the Monday mourning exercise declaration by the state government, all roads and streets were deserted as even public transportation was nowhere in sight.
Security personnel, nurses and other essential workers in the state on their way to work were seen stranded on the road following the absence of private or public transportation to convey them.
