Another member of the House of Representatives from Nasarawa State, Jonathan Gbefwi Gaza, on Wednesday defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Gaza is the fifth PDP member to have joined the APC within two days.

His defection letter was read on the floor of the House by Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila amidst shout of APC! APC!! APC!!! by the party’s lawmakers.

The defection was witnessed by a high-powered delegation from Nasarawa State, led by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

The delegation also included two former governors and now senators, Abdullhai Adamu and Umaru Tanko Al–Makura, as well as Senator Godiya Akwashiki, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, Mohammed Al–Makura, Joseph Kigbu, APC State Chairman, Chief John Mamman, APC State Secretary, Alhaji Aliyu Bello and the Chairman of APC Nasarawa West Senatorial Zone, among others.

The Nation gathered that another PDP lawmaker from Zamfara State may join the APC before the House begins its annual vacation.
