
On Monday, the Southern Governors’ Forum, or SGF, insisted that any law enforcement agency conducting an operation in any of the South’s states obtain permission from the state governor, who is also the state’s chief security officer, just as it insisted that the country’s next President come from the South.
Governor Rotimi of Ondo State read the communique after the closed-door meeting. The forum, however, remained silent on Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, and the attack on Yoruba freedom fighter Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho’s home.
