This was stated in a statement on Saturday, by the Civil society organisation.
The group said it received reports of attacks on protesters on June 12 Democracy Day on Saturday.
“Some protesters have also been arrested while others were injured.
“We again call on the Nigerian authorities to respect human rights and end attacks on peaceful protesters,” the statement read partly.
Meanwhile, the FCT Police Command has dispersed members of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN)-Shiites and other groups from taking advantage of the June 12 Democracy Day to embark on protest in the nation’s capital.
Yusuf Mariam, FCT command Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed this on Saturday.
