El-Rufai stated this on his Twitter page where he also disclosed that no reasonable person from the Southeast would condone violence.

According to him, most people from the Southeast that he had met off the social media, only want a conducive economic environment, not succession.

”No reasonable person from the SE would condone violence, neither do the majority want any secession. The ones in my life & I’ve had a pleasure of interacting with (off social media) only want a conducive economic environment and Insha Allah all this violence shall come to an end,” he wrote.

KanyiDaily recalls that Bashir El-Rufai had described the leader of the Biafran Republic, Odumegwu Ojukwu, as a failed hero who ran away when he saw imminent defeat.
