Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, has broken another record after his 2017 hit song “Fall” became the first Nigerian music video to hit 200 million views on streaming channel, YouTube.
KanyiDaily recalls that “Fall” became the first Afrobeats song by any Nigerian artist to hit 100 million views on Youtube on December 18, 2018.
On 5th of April 2021, the 2017 hit song earned Davido another accolade by becoming the first Afrobeats clip to hit 200 million views on the streaming platform.
Reacting to the feat on his Twitter page, Davido appreciated his fans for their never-ending support since the start of his music career. He wrote:
“…. I remember me and @kiddominant making this record as a joke … well this ain’t nothing to laugh at ! @flexgoddaps ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️God is good and thanks to all of you supporting me ever since m the start .. I appreciate every single one of you ❤️🥰”

This is coming two months after Davido’s song “If” received an RIAA Gold plaque in the United States, which means the record has successfully sold 500,000 copies in America.
