In-form Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been praised by former England and Manchester United striker Andy Cole after he scored for the second straight game in the Premier League but was quick to add that the 24-year-old lacked self belief.
The Nigerian striker scored the equaliser for the Foxes against Brighton on Saturday to boost their chances of a Top Four finish.
Leicester City are currently third in the EPL with 53 points from 28 matches.
Iheanacho, who is expected to be named in Nigeria’s squad for this month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho, has now scored three goals in seven league starts for the premier league side this term.
During his post-match analysis with BTSports on Sunday, Cole said, “Iheanacho has quality, some magic, he’s got it but he has to continue to have belief in himself, which he lacked before.”
Cole said Leicester City have another chance to finish in the Top Four this season, after they failed to do so last season.
“They have a good chance to finish in the Top Four this time,” Cole said.
