
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured Nigerians that the country has at its disposal, enough supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) that can sustain it for an additional 40 days, urging them to not panic buy.
National Secretary, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the party, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe in a statement on Tuesday, urged marketers to stop practice of fuel hoarding.
“The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in contact with the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, H.E. Timipre Sylva, as well as the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari, over long queues in refill stations”, the statement read in parts.
“We have being assured by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and NNPC GMD that there is more than enough petrol to last the country for 40 days.
“Furthermore, there is no need for panic buying and we also told filling stations in the country not to hoard fuel”, the statement concluded.
