

The rising insecurity tension in the country has continued to cause discomfort for the presidency. President Muhammadu Buhari, accordingly, convened a meeting of the National Security Council at the State House, Abuja, on Tuesday.
It was gathered that the national Security Council meeting commenced at 9:00 am at the Council Chambers. The meeting, according to presidency source would be reviewing the current security situation in the country, find ways to contain the rising incidence of kidnapping and banditry.
The meeting presided by President Buhari is being attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; Minister of Defence, Retired Major General Bashir Magashi; Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi; Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Lucky Irabor; other Service Chiefs and Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
