The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 1,056 new cases of coronavirus, (COVID-19) in 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The development brings the total number of confirmed infection in the country so far to 141, 447.
The health agency made the announcement on Tuesday night while giving its daily report on its website.
NCDC also confirmed 21 fatalities due to COVID-19 complications as total number of deaths has jumped to 1,694.
