
A 20-year-old man, Ismaila Tahiru, has been remanded by an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a Bajaj motorcycle.
The accused person allegedly committed the offence on October 11, 2019 around 10:04 am. at Temidire area of Ile-Ife.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Emmanuel Abdullahi, told the court that the accused person stole the motorcycle, with registration number: FEE 723 QE, valued at N290,000, property of one Peter Ogunleye.
According to him, the offence committed contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The accused person, however, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of stealing leveled against him.
In his ruling, Magistrate Adewumi Oyebadejo, refused to grant bail to the accused person.
The magistrate ordered the accused person to be remanded at the Correctional Centre in Ile-Ife.
The case was thereafter, adjourned till January 27, for ruling on the bail application.
