The wife of the Chief of Staff to the Ondo State governor, Olugbenga Ale has regained her freedom.
The Breaking Times had earlier reported that Mrs Ale, with one other person, were on Thursday evening abducted along the Ondo-Akure Expressway.
However, it was gathered that the victims were rescued on Saturday morning by operatives of the Ondo State Security Network also known as Amotekun Corps in a joint effort operation with with local hunters and vigilante inh the area.
Confirming Mrs. Ale’s release, The Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, stated that it was way too early to give details of the operation.
“We thank God for the success, it was not easy. We were however able to arrest some persons in connection with the kidnap”, he continued.
He continued that some major suspects having strong connection with the murder of the Olufon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi, who was on Thursday killed, have been arrested.
“We are closing pace with the criminals. We also apprehended some persons at Elegbeka in connection with the killing of the monarch.
“They are under interrogation at the moment and they are providing us with useful detail that will prove helpful in arresting other suspects,” Adeleye added.
