Serious tension has taken over the Ibodi community in Atakumonsa West Local Government Area of Osun following the death of a food seller.
The tension spread after youths mobilised to attack miners over the death of the food seller.
The Nation reports that the food seller, Wumi Babatope, had hawked food to Afon village on Monday and did not return home.
The incident made her husband raise the alarm, which led residents to find her corpse at a mining site naked during a search party.

The youths suspected the miners raped her to death and dumped her body.
The enraged youth started mobilised to attack the miners, accusing them of involvement in the food seller’s death.
Spokesperson of Osun Police Command, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola, told The Nation police operatives have been deployed to the community and were pacifying the parties involved.
