Rivers Police Recover Looted Items, Arrest Suspects

Following the attack on police stations in the Oyigbo Local Government Area in the wake of the hijack of the #EndSARS protests, looted items have been recovered by the Rivers State Police Command.

The Police had said earlier said four of its operatives were killed by members of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples Organisation of Biafra while four police stations were also torched in the attack.

Giving an update on Monday, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said some of the items stolen from the crime scene at the Oyigbo Divisional Police Station has been recovered.

He also said some suspects, who confessed to killing police officers, have been arrested.

“We are recovering the looted items. We are recovering police property that has been looted one after the other,” he said.
