Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has ordered an investigation into the shooting of End SARS protesters in Lekki.

Yesterday night, the military opened fire on unarmed youth.

The protesters camped at the Lekki toll gate, insisting they have the right to peaceful protest.

The use of deadly force against the demonstrators has attracted both national and global criticism.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in his broadcast on Wednesday announced that a panel would be set up to probe the shootings.

According to him, the 5-man Fact-Finding Committee will look into the Rules of Engagement ordered and adopted by the Nigerian Army.

He said the body will be headed by a retired military officer not less than a General by rank, adding that, “the report will be presented to President Muhammadu Buhari within 2-weeks.”
