The IPOB leader maintained that it is the duty of the police, Army and the Department of State Services, DSS, to disobey orders aimed at a suppress peaceful protest.

In a tweet, Kanu wrote: “Dear Nigerians: If your relative/friend is a security agent (Police, Army, DSS), tell him that it’s an international CRIME to use live bullets against #EndSARS protesters; that it’s his DUTY to humanity to DISOBEY all orders to suppress the protests. If you KILL, you will SUFFER!”
