Reno Omokri, a former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to some of the Edo governorship election results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has recorded more votes from the results of the 10 Local Governments, thereby leading Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Reacting to the results announced so far by INEC on his Twitter page on Sunday, Omokri mocked the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the former National Chairman of the ruling party, Adams Oshiomhole.

Omokri said the forces of godfatherism are being shamed in Edo. According to the former presidential aide, results from the Edo governorship election prove that Edo is different from Lagos State.

Omokri wrote: “The @OfficialPDPNig is coasting to an easy victory in Edo, going by official @INECNigeria results so far released.

“The forces of godfatherism are being shamed. Oshiomhole and Bola @AsiwajuTinubu now know that Edo is definitely not Lagos!

“Play hide and seek with your playmates, but never with your money. Know exactly where your money is going to. Always budget. Tell your money where you want it to go, or lack of money will make you go to places you won’t want even your enemy to go!

“Edo is definitely not Lagos! General  @MBuhari now sees that there are limits to rigging and his famous ‘remote control’, which worked so well in Osun. May this be the beginning of the end of the @OfficialAPCNg and Buharism in Nigeria!”
