FG Approves N13 Billion For Takeoff Of Community Policing

As part of measures adopted to consolidate efforts aimed at combating insecurity in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the sum of N13.3 billion for the take-off of Community Policing initiative across the country.

This was made known by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo during a virtual meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

According to a statement by Laolu Akande, media aide to Osinbajo, Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, some governors, among others were appointed to coordinated the utilization of the funding.
