The immediate elder Sister to the deceased first female helicopter Combat Pilot in the Country, Damilola Adegboye has called on the Military to conduct a thorough investigation into the death of her Sister; saying that the Family remains skeptic over her death.

She stated that the investigation earlier conducted by the Nigerian Air force (NAF), into the nature of her death is overwhelmingly not convincing, adding that the family are yet to agree on events that led to her untimely demise.

According to her, “it is funny how a person reversing with the vehicle can end up killing a person. The entirety of the family, wants a proper investigation to be carried out”, she stated.

“That fateful day, Tolulope Arotile, received a call I think from one of her Senior officers, requesting that she reports to the base. She was hesitant on going, so I offered to drop her; it was barely an hour after I dropped her off that I saw online that something bad has happened to her”, she said.

The Kogi State House of Assembly, in their response to the death of the combat pilot, urged the government to immortalize her.

The statement was made by the member representing Ijumu Constituency, Kilani Olumo. “Arotile is indeed a true daughter of the Nation, she has played her role explicitly by fighting and ensuring that peace reigns supreme in the Country.

Olumo stated further that it makes sense immortalizing her body, because she is an icon that will be remembered for ages. The State mourns and death as we all pray that her soul rests well.
