Nantes manager Christian Gourcuff has heaped plaudits on Moses Simon following the Nigerian impressive showing for the club in the French Ligue 1 this season.
Simon enjoyed a successful loan spell at Nantes from La Liga side UD Levante this past season and he could soon complete a permanent transfer to the French club.
“We soon realised that he would be a good choice, Gourcuff told RMC Sports.
“I didn’t know him at first, but his track records and qualities are great.
“From the moment there was an option to buy him , we had no doubts.
“The player himself also said that he wanted to stay. I don’t know the details, but I never doubted the purchase option.”
Simon scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for Nantes in the 2019/20 campaign.
