The top three clubs in London will head into the summer transfer window eager to improve their respective squads for the next Premier League season.
Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are way off the pace in the England’s top flight and desperately need an influx of new talent to improve their fortunes.
The Blues are currently best placed of that trio, with Frank Lampard’s side still in with a chance of qualifying for the 2020/21 Champions League.
However, their London rivals will undoubtedly be keen to force their way back into contention for European qualification next term.
Read on as we take a closer look some of the key signings the three big London teams could make this summer.
Chelsea target issues ‘come-and-get-me’ plea
Kepa Arrizabalaga’s inconsistent form this season has sparked persistent rumours that Chelsea are in the market to sign a new goalkeeper.
They have been heavily linked with Ajax stopper Andre Onana who has recently confirmed that he wants to ‘take a step’ and move on from the Eredivisie outfit.
Chelsea’s odds to win the Premier League at https://gg.bet/en/betting-sports would undoubtedly be cut if they could sign a goalkeeper of Onana’s quality.
He has been a star performer since joining Ajax back in 2015, keeping 74 clean sheets in 178 appearances for the Dutch giants in all competitions.
Arteta aiming to get the Partey started at Arsenal
Mikel Arteta is likely to be the busiest manager in London this summer, with his Arsenal squad in need of a major overhaul as they bid to climb back up the Premier League table.
Thomas Partey is high on Arteta’s wish-list and the Atletico Madrid midfielder would unquestionably be an outstanding signing for the Gunners.
The 26-year-old has a £43.5 million release clause in his contract and that represents extremely good value in today’s marketplace.
However, with Atletico interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal, the two clubs may be able to reach an agreement over a player-plus-cash deal.
Koulibaly the key to Tottenham’s revival hopes
Jose Mourinho is eager to improve Spurs’ defensive options this summer and Kalidou Koulibaly is his number one target.
The Napoli defender’s agents have already been negotiating with chairman Daniel Levy and a summer switch to North London could be on the cards.
The 28-year-old has struggled with injuries over the past few months, but when he’s fully up-to-speed he is one of the best centre-halves in the world.
Koulibaly has previously been linked with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid
